Adam "Pacman" Jones To Drop Nickname

Adam Dallas, TX – Hoping to clean up his image now that he has been reinstated into the NFL, Adam Jones (formerly known as “Pacman”) has chosen to find a new nickname.

“The name ‘Pacman’ carries a lot of baggage,” says branding consultant Jim Pettigrew, who has been hired to help Jones pick a new moniker. “When they hear that name, people no longer think of a round yellow guy that chases ghosts, but a muscular black man who is chased by his own demons. Also he spits on women and punches strippers.”

One example that Jones might follow in choosing a new nickname is “Super Mario” Williams of the Houston Texans. “His name is kid-friendly, and helps bring in a larger demographic for the Texans, Pettigrew stated. “Plus, Mario is a cute racial stereotype who saves princesses from evil dragon/turtle hybrids. I’m sure Mario Williams would do the same if asked.”

“This is a new start for me,” Jones said in a brief statement. “I want to have a clean slate when I start with my new team. I have made some mistakes in my past, but now that I am reinstated I plan to stop being a horse’s ass off the football field.”

Hoping to stay with a video game theme, some of the top choices to replace “Pacman” include: Adam “Q-Bert” Jones, Adam “Grand Theft Auto” Jones, Adam “God of War” Jones, Adam “Bionic Commando” Jones, and Adam “Mortal Kombat” Jones.

If he is trying to clear up his image maybe he should go with something
like

Adam "John Elways Quarterback" Jones.

Thre is always

"Mike Tyson's Punchout" Jones.

Of course if you want to stay way from
the sport theme you could always have

Adam "Dig-Dug" Jones (I kind of
like that one. It has a gangsta sound to it)
